(New York, NY) – In 2011 more than 1 million Americans were diagnosed with diabetes and every day many suffer alone or in silence. During the month of March, Divabetic, one of the country’s leading health and wellness nonprofits known for its Glam More, Fear Less style of diabetes outreach, invites those living with, at risk of and affected by diabetes on a remarkable journey to mobilize those who need comfort and those who can make a difference. Divabetic’s March of the Divas includes an exciting line-up of discoveries and opportunities to prevent and manage a disease now considered a global crisis. A Kristin Chenoweth-inspired live podcast, a highly anticipated Fruit Suit appearance in New York’s Times Square and an online member and fundraising campaign highlight a month full of diabetes engagement to observe Women’s History, Saint Patrick’s Day and Diabetes Alert Day, diva-style!

On Divabetic’s podcast channel, Diva TalkRadio, the schedule includes Studio d: Symptoms of Diabetes featuring Judi Wilcox, RD, CDE (Hollywood Fl) premiering March 5 and Diabetes Roundtable Inspired by Kristin Chenoweth, a live podcast March 13 at 6:00 p.m. (ET). Diabetes Roundtable is a 30 minute celebrity-inspired whirlwind of wellness, laughs and diabetes education. In honor of the green, this episode features a menu review of healthy dining choices at Slainte Irish Pub and Restaurant.
