Divabetic Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Diabetes Education

Divabetic welcomes the New Year inspired by Hollywood glitz and glamour. The U.S.-based nonprofit organization presents a full monthly schedule of online and special event programming for people living with, at risk of and affected by diabetes.

Divabetic, a leading health and wellness nonprofit known for its Glam More, Fear Less style of diabetes outreach, welcomes 2012 with a star-studded month of diabetes programming. 

On January 1 and continuing throughout the month, “Movie Awards 1,” the latest release in the Divabetic Diabetes Numerology video series, receives top billing on Mr. Divabetic’s YouTube Channel and features a tribute to leading lady Meryl Streep - Divabetic’s choice for Best Actress - with the plot line of a blood sugar high. Diabetes Numerology presents entertaining scenarios, trivia and self-care advice to help those living with, at risk of and affected by diabetes develop confidence to manage “sticky” healthcare situations.

Diva TalkRadio, Divabetic’s online podcast channel, ushers in the New Year with exclusive interviews featuring Ben Vereen, the legendary award-winning stage and screen entertainer, and Kim Lyons, celebrity personal trainer and author, who appeared in seasons three and four of the network reality program, The Biggest Loser. On January 10 at 6:00 p.m., Diva TalkRadio presents its live 30-minute podcast, Diabetes Roundtable. Inspired by Queen Latifah, an Emmy and Academy Award nominee, the program includes a hot topic discussion with three certified diabetes educators, a.k.a.
