Call for toys with a sense of adventure

Damco, one of the world’s leading third party logistics providers, is inviting toy manufacturers, distributors and retailers to contribute a toy for a round-the-world trip of a lifetime before being donated to a children’s hospital.

More Information

In support of Damco’s partnership with the Evelina Children’s Hospital, part of Guys and St Thomas’ in London, and to showcase the breadth and depth of its service, Damco is taking a selection of toys on a four-month journey across the globe with stopovers at a range of iconic landmarks.

Using a combination of land, air and sea transportation, Damco will chart the travellers’ movements via www.damcotoytrip.com and by updates sent direct to toy manufacturers from a dedicated toy trip team at Damco.

On the toys’ celebrated return home, Damco will donate the eclectic selection of toys, together with their stamped passports, to the Evelina Children’s Hospital.

If you’d like to get involved, Damco will be ‘checking-in’ toy travellers at the Damco Executive Airport Lounge at London Hilton Olympia, just around the corner from London Toy Fair, today, 25January 2012 from 12noon until 8pm.

Toy passengers will also be collected at the Global Toy Conference in Nuremberg on Monday 6 February 2012 and by on-line check-ins via www.damcotoytrip or by emailing damco@bottlepr.co.uk
