100 Fold Studio is a non-profit architecture firm applying for 501(c)(3) status.

Our mission is to provide innovative + affordable design services for global + local mission projects.

Our vision is to establish a global network of licensed architects + interns to serve in missions.

100 Fold Studio is a great opportunity for those that admire Auburn’s Rural Studio, Kansas’ Studio 804, Basic Initiative or similar programs and wish to practice architecture for the underserved while earning their IDP (Intern Development Program) credits in a professional setting.

We have an open position for a licensed architect to join 100 Fold Studio.

Architecture Positions Available @ 100 Fold Studio for 2012-2013:

All staff of 100 Fold are required to fund raise for 100 Fold. All salaries are funded by donations. 

All 2012 summer internships have been filled. If you are interested in a future position, please send a resume and digital portfolio to be reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Current open positions:

Newly or Nearly-Licensed Architect: 

Position requires minimum of 5 years of architecture experience. Must be able to teach interns and lead by example. Must be able to manage a studio with approximately 8 interns. A 2-year minimum commitment to 100 Fold Studio is required (DTS also required - see below in notes*).  Must agree with foundational principles of 100 Fold Studio as stated on website under "About Us".  

100 Fold will evaluate licensed architects for design talent, leadership and business skills for inclusion in our Associate Program (additional 3-7 years depending on individual).  The goal of the Associate Program is to train individuals to run his or her own 100 Fold Studio in a new location.

Non-Architectural Position Openings for 2012

Graphic and/or Web Designers:

Help us tell our story well through digital and social media. Experience in videography preferred. Website design/management required for position.

*Note:100 Fold Studio partners with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Montana. 100 Fold Studio is an independent non-profit but also serves as the campus architect for YWAM Montana.  Interns should apply directly to 100 Fold Studio and we will recommend applicants to YWAM Montana for acceptance as an intern or staff.  Initial recommendations by 100 Fold are based on portfolio evaluation to assess if applicant's architectural skills match the complex demands of our work.  YWAM provides room and board for 100 Fold staff for a small monthly fee.

Architectural and non-Architectural Internships are a maximum of 4 months. Interns invited to stay on staff with 100 Fold after an internship will be required to complete a 6-month leadership and missions training school with YWAM called DTS. Upon completion of DTS interns can apply for full-time staff with 100 Fold Studio.  As we work in partnership with YWAM, all 100 Fold Studio staff in Montana are required to make a two-year staff commitment with YWAM Montana.

All accepted Interns and non-architectural staff are volunteers of YWAM Montana and assigned to the Critical Services Department to serve the ministry through 100 Fold Studio.  If you have already completed a DTS with YWAM, you may apply directly for a Staff position.  

Location:

100 Fold Studio is located in Lakeside, Montana near Glacier National Park and Glacier Park International Airport (listed as "FCA" or "Kalispell, MT" on airline sites).  Recreational opportunities abound - our studio is one mile from Flathead Lake and 15 miles form Blacktail Mountain Ski Resort.  We are convenient to Kalispell, Montana with shopping, healthcare and cultural amenities.

  2. 100 Fold Studio has designed projects in Togo, Cambodia, Zimbabwe, Uganda and Canada. Domestic projects include work in Alabama, Kentucky and Montana. New projects for 2012-2013 are in Israel and Haiti.
