Jeff Shelstad, founder and CEO of Flat World Knowledge, the largest publisher of open college textbooks, discusses open education’s disruptive economic model and its potential for redefining the future of higher education, at EDUCAUSE 2011, on Thursday, October 20, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
In a session titled, “New Economic Models for Higher Education: The Joy and Sorrow of Change and the Case for IT,” Shelstad will share insights from the frontlines of open education at the annual EDUCAUSE conference that attracts over 3,700 key decision makers in higher education IT.
Joining Shelstad on the panel is Chris Coppola, president and CEO of rSmart; Louis Pugliese, president and CEO of Moodlerooms, Inc.; and Kimberlee Thanos, principal, Thanos Partners, Inc.
