Fleishman-Hillard Korea named Public Affairs Consultancy of the Year in PublicAffairsAsia’s 2011 Gold Standard Awards

The award, which recognizes the firm’s outstanding performance in public affairs, government relations and corporate relations, was presented to Fleishman-Hillard Korea Managing Director Yvonne Park at a ceremony held at the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore. 

“Corporations today are facing more risks from government regulation and community activism, even as reputation management is being completely transformed by the rise of social media.” said Fleishman-Hillard President and Chief Executive Officer Dave Senay. “Against that backdrop, Fleishman-Hillard Korea identified our clients’ growing need for integrated public affairs solutions in Korea, and moved swiftly to meet that need. We’re very proud of all that they have accomplished.”

Ms. Park was recently named to Korea’s Presidential Council on National Competitiveness Advisory Committee, and is an operating committee member of the Korea Post, making her the only communications professional serving both prestigious Korean government bodies. Her team’s active collaboration with various public and nonprofit organizations has helped to create shared value for clients and society.

The award comes just as Fleishman-Hillard marks its 10th anniversary in Korea. Over that time, Fleishman-Hillard has become recognized as a public affairs leader – leadership underscored by work on the Seoul G20 Business Summit, the Korean government’s Green Growth strategy, and the office’s support for Jimmy Carter and “The Elders” on their most recent visit to Beijing, Pyongyang and Seoul to ease inter-Korean tensions. Fleishman-Hillard is currently agency of record for this spring’s 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit, which will be Korea’s largest-ever gathering of world leaders.

This honor also follows on the heels of Fleishman-Hillard’s selection as “Asia Pacific Consultancy of the Year” for 2011 by global public relations industry authority, The Holmes Report.
