Free Concert at Space 15 Twenty to Benefit 'Music Saves Lives'
On Friday, July 16th, Space 15 Twenty will be throwing a benefit concert in association with Urban Outfitters to support the non-profit organization ‘Music Saves Lives.’ The show is free and open to all ages, although donations will be encouraged at the door. Doors open at 7:00pm, and the music starts in the courtyard at 7:30pm. Three bands will be playing throughout the night. LINKS will start the night off, followed by Sol Giant, and finally Eastern Conference Champions, whose song ‘A Million Miles An Hour’ was featured on the Twilight: Eclipse Soundtrack. Alcohol will be available for purchase to guests 21+.
Music Saves Lives is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to connect music and entertainment to a life-saving community action. They have focused their efforts on blood donation and the bone marrow registry, reaching out by sharing facts, educating and empowering. They believe that simple actions such as donating blood, running a blood drive, and registering for the marrow program to save those with leukemia, all connect back to the community. Music Saves Lives will be present at the event handing out free download cards and collecting names to support the cause.
Space 15 Twenty is a unique retail setting, which creates an opportunity for Urban Outfitters to collaborate with creative brands they find inspiring and interesting. Each store is connected by an outdoor courtyard, which includes a performance space and adjacent gallery, both of which encourage participation in the curated environment. Aligning with local music, film and art venues, the courtyard and gallery present a rotating cast of musicians and artists.
The benefit event will be held at Space 15 Twenty, located at 1520 N. Cahuenga Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028. Parking is available. The entrance to the lot is located on Selma/Ivar. Guests will be charged on an escalating scale of $2.00 for every 30 minutes they are in the lot with a maximum of $8.00.
Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the first band starts at 7:30 PM.
