GreenWorld BVI Brings Australian Carbon Credit Investment for Individual Investors to the Market

The new carbon law “Down Under” also offers individual investors an opportunity to profit

More Information

As the demand for green investments continues to increase, GreenWorld BVI has launched a carbon credits investment offering to the retail market.

GreenWorld BVI’s carbon credit investment is based on the new Australian tax on carbon passed by the government there last year.  One beneficiary of the new Australian carbon tax will be investors in carbon credits themselves.  Under the Australian Government’s regulatory structure, the Government is guaranteeing that the carbon credit investments will be profitable by guaranteeing a minimum floor of AUS$23 per ton for the first three years starting from July of 2012.

"It is not often to discover find an investment opportunity where the host-country government is guaranteeing you a minimum return on your investment," stated Peter Thompson, a Partner at GreenWorld BVI.

Thompson added that GreenWorld expects investors to earn a return of approximately 30-35 per cent if they select a three year holding perion, and up to 348 per cent for a holding period of a full 15 years.

From an investor's perspective, GreenWorld's offering is a complete turnkey solution, as GreenWorld’s partner on the project will take full responsibility for selling the carbon credits credits into the rapidly growing carbon credit market.
