Lead Training for EPA's Renovation, Repair & Painting (RRP) Rule to be Offered in Eau Claire, WI

Lead training for the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule will be offered June 29 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, by Testudo, a certified firm dedicated to instructing contractors and landlords on how to safely perform lead safe renovations.

The EPA requires that property managers, landlords, general contractors and remodeling contractors of all types—including plumbers, electricians, painters, window installers, and even wood floor refinishers—carry this certification if disturbing lead-based coatings (including lead paint, stain, shellac, varnish, etc.) in any home or child-occupied building (school, daycare, etc.) built before 1978. This Lead Safe Renovator - Initial class—which is 100% approved by Wisconsin's Department of Health Services—will be held June 29 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and it will be instructed by Samantha Dalsing, president of Testudo. The class will be held at Metropolis Resort-Grand Central Room, 5150 Fairview Drive, Eau Claire, WI, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All students who hold the Dwelling Contractor Qualifier license can receive eight hours of continuing education credits for attending the course. The cost of the course is $240.
