Lead training in accordance with the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule will be offered March 30 in Madison by Testudo LLC, a firm dedicated to training contractors and landlords on how to work safely with lead based paint.
Lead certification in accordance with the EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rule will be offered March 30 in Madison, Wis.
This class will be instructed by Samantha Dickman, president of Testudo LLC, Wisconsin's leading Lead Safe Renovator training provider. Property managers, landlords, and remodeling contractors of all types—including plumbers, electricians, painters, window installers, and even wood floor refinishers—are required to carry this certification if disturbing leaded coatings (including lead paint, stain, shellac, varnish, etc.) in any child-occupied building (homes, daycares, etc.) built before 1978.
This lead training will take place at Kleenmark University, 1206 Ann Street, Madison, Wis, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All students who hold the Dwelling Contractor Qualifier license can receive eight hours of continuing education credits for attending the course. The cost of the course is $240. During this eight-hour training, contractors and property managers will learn about all facets of the RRP rule, including why it was enacted and how they can successfully comply with the rule.
