Microgaming to Release Great Griffin Slot Game at Platinum Play in February

Microgaming looks set to release its latest slot games, including the highly anticipated Great Griffin slot game, at Platinum Play this February.

There has been no official statement or confirmation from Microgaming as of yet but some of Microgaming’s online casinos are already previewing and giving players teasers of the new games that could be released as soon as Wednesday 8th February, 2012.

Great Griffin is certainly the most exciting prospect of the new batch of slot games due for release. It has a medieval theme and is based on the mythical creature itself. The symbols in the game include spell books, magic crystals, plants and potion flasks. There is also the chance to witness the hooded lady and the mythical Griffin in all its splendour.

In a unique addition to the slot game genre, the Griffin will sweep across the reels at random intervals and scratch symbols with its razor sharp claws. Those symbols that are scratched will turn into wild symbols that reward the player with double pay outs.

This game has 50 pay-lines and 5 reels to ensure the players can enjoy huge prizes. In the main game players can win up to 50,000 coins but if they qualify for the free spins then they can become eligible to win up to 750,000 coins.

Players can qualify for the Pick Me Bonus when they hit three or more Hooded Lady symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4. In this bonus, the player must pick one of the symbols to win a prize. If the Hooded Lady symbols appear on reels 3, 4 and 5 then the Free Spins Bonus is triggered.
