New Veterinary Work Experience Project Launched
Gap Africa Projects is proud to announce the launch of a new veterinary work experience project which caters to students applying to vet school.
UK-based tour operator Gap Africa Projects, the specialist in adventure and project-based travel to Africa, is proud to announce its new and exciting Pre Vets Eco Experience.
There are many wildlife veterinary work experience-based projects available in Africa, many of which are designed to focus on furthering the experience of budding vet or veterinary nurse students.
What sets Gap Africa Projects’ Pre Vet Experience aside is that is uniquely tailored to focus on students wanting to apply for Veterinary Studies. It is common knowledge that less than 1 in 10 applications are successful to study Veterinary Science in the UK. It is therefore vitally important that students are fully prepared on the application and interview process as well as the importance of relevant veterinary work experience.
This veterinary work experience project offers students the opportunity to work alongside the award winning conservation and veterinary staff at Shamwari Game Reserve to gain that valuable experience. The course has been designed to give potential Vet students an in depth introduction to Veterinary Science in the context of African wildlife. Not only will they learn the basics of what it takes to be a wildlife veterinarian, they will also have informative and important lectures from existing UK Vet students on the application process and considerations for success.
This unique and hands on experience into the life of a Wildlife Veterinary in Africa will contribute towards the students overall application for Vet School.
