SeaPort Airlines to launch service at Jackson, Tennessee

(December 27, 2011) – SeaPort Airlines announced that it has been selected by the U.S. Department of Transportation to provide Essential Air Service at Jackson, Tennessee (MKL). Beginning on January 22, SeaPort will operate two daily round trips between Jackson and Nashville and two daily round trips between Jackson and Memphis, Monday through Friday.  A single round trip to both Nashville and Memphis will be offered on both Saturday and Sunday.

To launch the new service, SeaPort is offering an introductory fare of $29* to both Memphis and Nashville for every seat on every flight through Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2012.

“We’re hoping that for travelers, the SeaPort Airlines experience will be like ‘love at first flight’ and introductory fares are a great way to draw folks to the convenience of our service and McKeller-Sipes Airport,” said McKinney.

After the introductory period, fares to Nashville are anticipated to range from $39* to $119* and fares to Memphis will range from $29* to $69* depending on advance purchase and availability.

At Nashville International Airport, SeaPort will operate from the main terminal providing convenient connections to all major airlines. At Memphis International Airport, service will operate from SeaPort’s private terminal with comfortable seating, complimentary coffee and tea, WiFi, and shuttle service to the main terminal for customers connecting to or from flights of other airlines.
