Silicon Halton and Golden Horseshoe Venture Forum to offer Mentorship Clinics for Halton Based Companies

Monthly Mentorship Clinics will give Halton entrepreneurs and business leaders access to a panel of private business professionals with extensive experience in finance, sales, marketing, technology, operations and human resources. These professionals will be donating their time to facilitate business development in the Halton Region.

In October 2011 the Golden Horseshoe Venture Forum (GHVF) and Silicon Halton announced a community alliance and partnership that focused on three keys:

Creating awareness and cross networking experiences for respective members
Assisting members in the areas of commercialization and growth, and
Producing special events to help companies in Halton succeed

Both organizations have been extremely pleased with our progress to date. The Mentorship Clinic is the next step in the evolution of our community partnership. The Mentorship Clinic is designed to help local companies deal with a specific challenges or issues facing them that are causing business pain. The monthly Mentorship Clinic will pair Halton businesses with a panel of local experts who are donating their time, to diagnose and alleviate this pain.

The Mentorship Clinic is exclusive to established Halton firms who are experiencing pain or challenges in the following key strategic areas of their business:

Technical Operations - new and better ways to adopt and use technology
Financial - scaling revenue nationally or globally
Funding - raising venture capital via angels, VCs and bank extensions
Sales management - pipeline development and sales conversion
Marketing - lead generation, network and market development, branding, content development and communications

The firm can come to the Mentorship Clinic to receive a complimentary hour of diagnosis and consultation from local professionals.
