The new theme park near Dulles International Airport aims at providing amazing space travel experience and great enjoyment for its visitors. Designed to complement Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, a companion facility to the Art and Space Museum displaying thousands of aviation and space artifacts, the futuristic theme park and the center will rally to create a futuristic experience of a world in 2025.

  1. The new, futuristic theme park will provide an amazing space travel experience within the world of 2025 for the visitors through virtual reality technology, including 20 futuristic rides and four entertaining theaters/shows.

  2. The hotel with 800-room will open near the theme park as a companion facility, serving as a 30,000-square-foot convention destination with four restaurants, health club, banquet facilities, 28 meeting rooms that will accommodate up to 2000 and all feature wired and wireless high-speed Internet access.

  3. Marriott Corporation has acquired 225 acres of land for the theme park and will cost an estimated $455 million. The hotel will cost additional 1.7 billion dollars.

  4. Marriott Corp. has hired the architectural firm of Jones, Skinner and Smith to design both the hotel and theme park. The management team heading up the new Marriott initiative is chaired by John Marriott, son of CEO Bill Marriott.

  5. Estimated visitors at the theme park are 25 thousand persons one day. Estimated employment at hotel is 550 people. Employment at theme park is 2,400.
