The World’s Largest Urban Adventure Series Will Make You Think Hard, Play Hard and Laugh Hard
If you witness a sea of white flood the streets of Vancouver Aug. 27 do not worry. It is only The World’s Largest Urban Adventure Series and it is in support of the charity Right To Play. Designed to combine a traditional running race with elements of reality TV shows such as Survivor, The Amazing Race and Fear Factor, City Chase will test participants’ physical limits, nerves and have them laughing along the way.
City Chase, which is in support of Right To Play, pits teams of two Chasers in against a field of over 700 other Chasers in a race around the city
Teams get clues to specific locations around Vancouver where they must compete in challenges
Once they complete 10 ChasePoints, they can cross the finish line at 200 Grenville Square and are declared an official winner
The event has raised over $750,000 for Right To Play over its three year partnership and has a goal of $300,00 for the 2011 series
Popular challenges in the past include wheelchair basketball, kissing a crocodile’s nose, climbing the stairs of the Calgary Tower and white water rafting down the Ottawa river
“Vancouver may be the most beautiful city in the world, its culture and character blend seamlessly with the spirit of City Chase.”
Nick Jelineck, president and CEO of InField Marketing Group which owns City Chase
“Our partnership with City Chase has been very productive and a lot of fun for Right To Play, the support Vancouver has shown in the past has made the city a highlight on our calendar.”
