More Information

The Bra Recyclers announced a new partnership with Rise Again Outreach in Loudon, NH. Rise Again Outreach will be receiving recycled bras from the Gilbert, AZ based textile recycling organization on an on-going basis, making the shelter the first to be supported in New Hampshire by the unique cause.

The Bra Recyclers, who support domestic violence shelters and homeless shelters across the country are excited to be able to expand their services to New Hampshire. The Bra Recyclers CEO and Founder, Elaine Birks-Mitchell, stated, “For women living in poverty, having a clean, properly fitting bra is not high on the priority list. Other needs, like food, shelter, and safety take precedent. However, through recycled bras, we are able to provide support and encouragement to women during their darkest hours. Our service provides women with the self-esteem and confidence to help them overcome crisis and achieve self-sufficency”.

Rise Again Outreach provides a number of services through its active ministries. The “Mobile Pantry” program brings assistance to struggling neighborhoods in the form of clothing, non-perishable food and personal care items. Additionally, the “Reach4Hope” program is an outreach program for the homeless where the ministry provides personal care and survival items. On average, Rise Again Outreach serves approximately 35-150 families each month. It is estimated that approximately 50 of those individuals each week are women who could use a clean, properly fitting bra.
