Now in its third year, the Sydenham Arts Festival returns with an exciting and eclectic programme. Celebrating this diverse and creative local community, the festival brings a variety of events to south east London, including music, dance, visual arts, poetry, theatre and comedy.
Big names involved in the Festival 2011 include Sir Andrew Motion, Poet Laureate from 1999-2009, who will be appearing on the opening Saturday at Sydenham School, and BAFTA-award winning playwright Roy Williams will be leading a free playwriting workshop.Â
The box office is open from Monday 13th June at Kirkdale Bookshop, 272 Kirkdale, Sydenham SE26 4RS. Box office phone number 020 8123 1175.
Free brochures listing all programme details will be available in local libraries, shops, cafes, pubs from June 1st onwards.
Ticket prices range from 50p to £12 with concessions involved and many free events.
