Following on from phase one, which focused on the last decade of broadband usage, the second part of the 10 years of broadband campaign will look at current broadband usage, issues and future predictions.
The broadband survey asks six brief questions, developed to help build knowledge of how we as a community are utilising connectivity, and identify challenges, necessary improvements and potential issues
Survey respondents will receive a free code to access iBAHNs broadband network, which can be used at any iBAHN hotel or location worldwide.
The feedback gained through the survey will be publicised on the 10 years of broadband site. The survey aims to identify current broadband challenges, and gather feedback on issues such as connection speeds, network limits, security, Government intervention and devices and applications.
10 years of broadband is an initiative launched by iBAHN, the worldwide leader in digital entertainment and Internet solutions for the hospitality and meeting industries, and has a wealth of factual information, including a timeline of highlights, expert opinion with comment pieces from the hospitality industrys leading connectivity thinkers. It also offers a chance to get involved via the have your say tab, which incorporates a Twitter account (http://twitter.com/10yearsofbb), offering a gateway into the ongoing broadband debate.
As well as retrospective information and opinion, the hub also includes advice in the form of 10 tips for event organisers on providing seamless connectivity at an event, and predictions on the future, including a video by iBAHNs global CEO David Garrison.
Were now entering phase two of the 10 years of broadband campaign, which was originally developed to offer a focal point for broadband facts, opinion and predictions. Following phase one, which concentrated on the first 10 years of broadband connectivity, our focus has turned to connectivity trends now and in the future, and we want the broadband community to get involved and offer us their insight on where we as an industry must focus our energies to deliver over the next 10 years.
