After 2 years of development, the World War 2 browser based strategy game Hours of War is about to migrate from Alpha to Beta status.
“We have had incredible interest so far and last week the number of pre-registrations broke the 10.000 users mark” comments Andreas Von Koskull CEO.
The game is based on historical facts where people reenact historical battles. You play either as Axis or Allies and each side is organized according to military hierarchy. Most players will control military units while the higher ranked users define the strategy and commands.
The game scenarios are tick based and can range from a couple of hours to 2-3 weeks. The objective of the game is to beat the historical results.
“We are a few weeks away from open Beta testing and aim to launch the game this autumn. Post launch we’ll be working on adding more battles and extending the game based on user feedback” says Markus Kantonen Creative Director.
