‘RECKONING DAY’ CELEBRATES RELEASE USING CONTROVERSIAL DRUG ‘SALVIA’ ON WILLING LONDONERS

Following the on-going debate to make the hallucinogenic drug, often described as violently stronger than LSD, ‘Salvia’ an illegal substance in the UK, Revolver Entertainment conducted a trial on a group of Londoners, including a popular Glamour Girl, as part of the promotional campaign for upcoming film release RECKONING DAY.

Core Facts

  1. RECKONING DAY is a feature length film following the US Special Forces’ quest to capture a ruthless, international brutal criminal who has been discovered in Europe shipping a brand new and fearfully powerful drug, which increases physical strength and human reflexes by 300%, as well as making the user impervious to pain.

  2. Fear has been expressed within the UK Government as it was recently revealed that young people were posting videos of themselves on the internet consuming Salvia allowing others to witness their hallucinogenic effects, often being referred to as the ‘YouTube’ drug. This prompted the Home Secretary to ask the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs to compile a report on Salvia, which will decide whether the drug will remain legal after 2009.

  3. To tie in with the release of RECKONING DAY, Revolver Entertainment asked a group of Londoners including National favourite glamour model Candice, if they would participate and try Salvia for themselves to experience the controversially most powerful effects, that can still be delivered legally.

  4. Similar to the effects of the fictional drug depicted in RECKONING DAY, the increasingly popular Salvia, is still completely legal making its use for the promotion of the film possible. As a result, one member of the panel was stunned at the strength of Salvia: My soul was ripped from my body and taken to another dimension. I was afraid I wouldn’t come back.

  5. Although Salvia is illegal in several countries around the world, it currently remains legal in Britain. Campaigners claim the plant-based drug is unsafe and may trigger psychotic episodes. However, Revolver’s expert suggests: One may feel they will never come back from the experience, although salvia is short acting, lasting around 10-20 minutes… With sensible use, it is a harmless plant providing a profound experience - Abuse it, and it may have consequences for unstable individuals.
