Tamar, the natural search conversion agency, has announced a series of senior moves in preparation for an ambitious growth phase over the next two years, when it is projected that Tamars size and turnover will triple.
The senior moves include a new post, of Search Strategy Director, for Neil Jackson to reflect more accurately his role of overseeing search strategy for all clients. Neil Allison, who was formerly Operations Manager, has been promoted to the board as Operations Director. Alex Schlagman will become Head of Commercial and three Associate Director positions have been created: Henry Elliss will become Associate Director: Social Media, Neilson Hall has been promoted to Associate Director: Search, and Nicky Rogers will become Associate Director: Talent, all of whom are at least in their fifth year with Tamar. All promotions are effective immediately.
The moves reflect Tamars vision of developing the highest-quality people internally, which has resulted in exceptional staff retention levels, illustrated by the fact that a third of Tamars team has been with the company for more than three years. This level of consistency and knowledge retention, combined with Tamars focus on natural search-conversion results for clients across the board, has nurtured happy and long-term clients, including Endsleigh who have been with Tamar for 12 years.
Tamars ambitious performance targets are supported by long-term and sustained growth, with ongoing development of its existing service areas, including: Natural Search, Social Media (earnings forecast to be as big as search revenue within two years); Insight and Analytics and Conversion Design, and strong demand for fully integrated strategies that combine Tamars diverse digital marketing skills.

At Tamar we have always purposefully differentiated our services by focusing on conversion-based strategies and services, which our clients immediately understand and value. This has allowed us to grow consistently and over the next two years, with the predicted global market growth in SEO and social media, combined with Tamar's core strengths in these areas, we are confident that this strong growth phase will escalate. To achieve our aims, we need to make sure that our senior team is in a position to service the next level of Tamars development and I am sure that with these promotions we have the knowledge and ability to build on our strong, successful heritage to take Tamar forward into a new era.
Tanya Goodin, CEO at Tamar
I have been with Tamar for 12 years, and in that time I have seen the company flourish by focusing on its core strengths. Each staff member, from the account teams through to the board members, completely believes in our approach, and is fully committed to seeing the company reach its potential. This is the task ahead and if the start of 2010 is anything to go by we are well on course to achieve our goals.
Neil Jackson, Search Strategy Director
