SINGAPORE (May 11, 2012) - The United States Education Information Center (USEIC) announced today it is extending its consulting service to local high schools and junior colleges. As the United States renewed its bilateral relations with the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries, the number of international students studying at US colleges and universities also increased to 723,000 in 2011.
The USEIC will visit Singapore schools in July 2012 and introduce US Education to the students.
Students will receive information on U.S. university admission requirements and bilateral exchange programs and foundations.
Students who are interested in studying in America can get free booklets on American universities.
Junior college students who complete their General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) are guaranteed college credit exemptions when they apply to any colleges in America.
“At USEIC, we do our best to help prospective students who are keen to expand their future in America. At some point in your life, you may end up working for a US company or have a US client. Having that US grounding is somewhat of a life skill.”
Karen Kaylor, Director of USEIC Singapore.
